The use of electronic documentation versus longhand is said to improve accuracy and greatly reduce health care costs. Will Congress address this issue this calendar year?
Last year, the House passed HR 4157, the Health Information Technology Promotion Act. (http://thomas.loc.gov/cgi-bin/bdquery/z?d109:h.r.04157:) The Senate took no action.
